Dhermi Beach Albania (2026) — Best Spots, Prices & Tips
Dhermi Beach is located about 1 km from the road and village of the same name.
The road descends steeply from Dhermi to the sea and runs along the entire beach.
What Dhermi Beach is like
Dhermi Beach stretches for about 2 km along the seashore.
Paid sections with sunbeds and umbrellas alternate evenly with free areas.
Let’s look at each part of the shoreline along the entire beach.
Beaches near the hotels
At the very beginning of Beach, several hotels are located among tall trees.
Each hotel has its own original, cozy, and well-maintained beach.
In the morning, the tree canopies provide shade from the sun and create comfort for vacationers.
- Plus: it’s cozy and peaceful to relax here.
- Minus: many motorboats may pollute the sea.
Public beach next to the hotels
Next to the hotels is the first public beach.
It stretches for about 50 meters along the seashore.
There are always a lot of people here in the summer.
The place is very popular because of the shade created by the huge tree canopies.
A low rocky ridge separates it from the main Dhermi Beach.
Paid areas on Dhermi Beach
After the pier with the boats, a paid beach area stretches for about 200 meters.
A sun umbrella with two loungers costs 1000 lek (about 10 euros per day).
Infrastructure:
- a few minutes to shops and restaurants located near the hotels by the road;
- there is a boat pier where people go on trips starting from 9:00 a.m.
Trip cost is 2500 lek (about 25 euros) per person.
Beach at the end of the shoreline
The beach is sandy with fine gravel. The sea is very clean, and the water is light blue.
There is a steep entry into the sea, and the seabed is also sandy.
From the sea, there are beautiful views of the mountains surrounding the beach.
Ikebana Restaurant and Bar
Ikebana restaurant/bar on Dhermi Beach will please any visitor.
The price of a cappuccino is 300 lek (about 3 euros).
The view from both cafes is stunning: endless sea and an infinite horizon.
For those who value comfort and space, working online here is ideal.
Last public beach
The furthest public beach in Dhermi is one of the least crowded.
In my opinion, the sea near it is the cleanest. There are no boats or jet skis here.
Some people set up their tents and spend the night near the shore.
Plus: the road is nearby, where you can park your car for free.
The beach is convenient and spacious, and the sea is pleasant and comfortable.
Swimming here in the heat is a real pleasure.
The edge of Dhermi Beach
At the very end of Beach, among the rocks, there is a café. A wooden boardwalk leads to it, often splashed by waves.
It’s impossible to walk further along the shore toward Gjipe Beach. Dhermi Beach ends in a dead end.
The coastline south of Beach consists of high, inaccessible cliffs.
Plus: it’s a perfect spot for photo shoots in the spray of seawater.
That day there was wind and high waves.
They crashed against the coastal rocks and soaked everyone on the wooden path to the restaurant.
I also got splashed with seawater.
Promenade along the beach
Along the central part of Dhermi Beach runs the local promenade for walking.
Along it are many hotels, restaurants, and shops that are active during the season.
Breakfasts on the beaches are paid for with hotel tokens, cash, or cards.
Tip: prepare cash lek in advance (cards are not accepted everywhere).
There is internet and Wi-Fi on the beach, as well as ATMs for withdrawing cash.
Where to park at Dhermi Beach
Before entering the beach area, there are many small paid parking lots. Price is 500 lek per day (about 5 euros).
Parking along the road by the beach is free, but spots may not be available during the season.
Cars stand tightly one after another along the roadside.
Important: the road along Dhermi Beach is narrow, and it’s difficult for oncoming cars to pass each other.
I saw several traffic jams while walking along the beach road.
By the way, at the very end there’s a paid parking lot for 1000 lek per day (about 10 euros).
Decide according to your situation.
Summary of Dhermi Beach
I walked along the shoreline and swam in several places.
The water (even with waves) was clean, with no seaweed.
The beach itself is sandy: the sand is coarse and heats up during the hot day (in the morning it was a comfortable temperature).
Tip: wear beach flip-flops.
There is a wide selection of drinks at beach bars, and for walking there is the promenade with restaurants, bars, and ATMs along it.
Beach suits visitors with different budgets.
It’s a calm and cozy place, and the sea is clean along the entire beach.
In the farthest corner of the beach, near the Ikebana restaurant-bar, you will find yourself surrounded by sea and mountains.
This beach closes the coastline, which begins at the foot of Karaburun.
Further along the coast, you won’t be able to walk — impassable volcanic cliffs will block your path. You’ll have to return to the main road to continue along the sea’s edge.
