Bora Bora Beach Ksamil Albania — My Review, Prices, Map & Tips (2026)

Bora Bora Beach Ksamil Albania is the most famous beach in the resort town of Ksamil.

It is one of the most popular and visited beaches on the Albanian Riviera. For many travelers visiting southern Albania for the first time, Bora Bora Beach becomes their first introduction to Ksamil.

I visited the beach on June 14, 2026. I swam in the sea, walked along the entire shoreline, and filmed photos and videos for my website and the Life in Albania YouTube channel.

In my opinion, Bora Bora Beach Ksamil perfectly represents modern Ksamil: white sand, crystal-clear turquoise water, small islands offshore, many families with children, and well-developed tourist infrastructure.

If you are looking for the most iconic beach in Ksamil, this is where you should start.

Where Is Bora Bora Beach Ksamil Albania

The beach is located in the central part of Ksamil.

Today it sits roughly in the middle of the long chain of organized beaches stretching along the resort coastline.

For many visitors arriving from Saranda by bus, Bora Bora Beach becomes one of the first beaches they reach.

The walk from the bus stop to the beach takes only a few minutes.

Nearby you will find:

  • restaurants;
  • cafés and the Bora Bora beach bar;
  • supermarkets;
  • apartments;
  • hotels;
  • kayak and boat rental services.

Because of its convenient location, Bora Bora Beach is one of the easiest beaches to access in Ksamil.

📍 Ksamil center and bus stop coordinates:

Before traveling, I recommend saving the route in Google Maps for offline use. During the summer season, parking areas start filling up early in the morning.

How to Get to Bora Bora Beach – Bus Schedule and Transport

The easiest way to reach the beach is by using the regular Saranda – Ksamil – Butrint bus route.

During summer, buses operate throughout the day from approximately 06:00 until 19:00.

Bus fares in 2026:

  • Saranda to Ksamil: 200 lek;
  • Saranda to Butrint: 250 lek.

If you plan to visit multiple beaches along the Albanian Riviera, renting a car gives you much greater flexibility.

By car, you can reach parking areas located very close to the beach.

However, during June, July, and especially August, available parking spaces become limited after about 09:00 AM.

Parking fee: approximately 500 lek.

Tip: arrive early, ideally around 08:00 AM, and choose a parking spot that allows an easy departure later in the day.

My Review of Bora Bora Beach Ksamil Albania

Tourists relaxing at Bora Bora Beach in Ksamil
Visitors enjoying a summer day at Bora Bora Beach in Ksamil, relaxing on the sand and under beach umbrellas.

The first thing I noticed was the number of visitors.

The summer season was already in full swing by mid-June 2026 and air temperature was around 28°C.

Dozens of tourists were enjoying the beach at the same time.

Many were swimming, sunbathing, and spending time with their families.

I especially noticed how many parents with children were relaxing here.

This is one of the main differences between Bora Bora Beach and several nearby beaches around Ksamil.

The beach is very family-friendly thanks to its shallow entry into the sea and soft white sand.

I also went swimming and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

The water felt pleasantly cool and refreshing in the summer heat.

What I liked most was the gentle entrance into the sea over soft white sand.

From the water, you get beautiful views of the shoreline, nearby islands, and the surrounding lagoon.

The crystal-clear blue water creates the atmosphere of a classic Mediterranean beach destination.

White Sand and Comfortable Swimming

One of the defining features of Bora Bora is the combination of white sand and calm water.

Unlike some nearby beaches, the depth increases gradually.

The shallow shoreline makes swimming comfortable for children and casual swimmers.

During my visit, dozens of people were in the water simultaneously.

The sea was clean and transparent.

Even further from the shore, the seabed remained clearly visible.

For most visitors, special water shoes are not necessary here.

Islands Opposite Bora Bora Beach

One of the most recognizable features of Bora Bora Beach is the group of small islands located offshore.

These islands create some of the most famous views in Ksamil.

Some of them can be reached by swimming from nearby beaches located closer to the islands.

During my trip, I personally swam to two islands and will publish a separate guide describing the route and safety considerations.

When weather conditions are calm, many visitors use:

  • kayaks;
  • SUP boards;
  • pedal boats;
  • small rental boats;
  • inflatable rings and floating mattresses.

Bora Bora is one of the most developed beaches in the region.

Available facilities include:

  • restaurants;
  • bars;
  • beach clubs;
  • sunbed rentals;

  • water activities.

During my visit, kayak rentals and water taxis for two people were operating.

Prices observed during my visit:

  • one umbrella plus two sunbeds: 1,500 lek (approximately €15);
