Jale, Albania — A Cozy Beach Surrounded by Mountains
Jale is a beach in Albania with social camping, resort hotels, summer bars, and crystal-clear water in the bay. It`s ideal for families with children.
From here, you can access Gjipe and Aquarium beaches.
Jale Beach: overview
General information about the beach
Jale Beach stretches for approximately 300 meters along the seashore.
The width of the beach strip is about 50 meters.
Behind the beach, there is a wide promenade with cafés, shops, a tent camping area, and hotels.
The turn-off to Jale Beach from the main road is near the village of Vuno.
Main beach
Jale Beach is very popular among travelers.
As a rule, vacationers fully occupy all the spots under the umbrellas. In the high season, there are hardly any free places.
Let me remind you that according to the rules, every Albanian beach must have a free section near the shore.
Thus, there is always a choice:
- settle on the free public section;
- take a paid spot for around 1,000 ALL (about 10 euros) per place.
Jale beach features:
- the beach is sandy with fine pebbles;
- the sea is very clean with transparent water;
- gentle entry into the water with fine pebbles on the seabed.
Summary: perfect for holidays with preschool and school-age children.
Excursions from the beach
You can book a sea excursion along the Ionian coast.
The boat pier is located in the central part of the beach.
The boats are moored far out in the sea — about 100–150 meters from the shore.
It’s done right — the sea near the beach remains truly clean with crystal-clear water.
Excursion prices: from 25–30 euros to 100 euros depending on the length of the route.
The mountain to the left of the beach
On the left edge of Jale Beach, there is a mountain.
A wide staircase leads to its summit.
At the top, there is a flat area with a bar, centuries-old cedars, and tables for visitors.
The tree canopies create dense shade over the mountain top, so it remains cool even in the summer heat.
I saw people comfortably working on their laptops in the open air.
What are the conditions for working?
- From the tables, there is a wonderful panoramic view of the sea all around.
- Shade from massive oak trees at the center of the summit.
- Peace and quiet, birds singing — simply a slice of paradise.
- There is a modern bar in the middle of the area.
Social Camping Jale
Next to the beach, there is a model campsite — Social Camping Jale.
It has tents, tables and benches for dining, toilets, parking, showers, and even a pull-up bar with parallel bars.
In my opinion, the campsite is arranged to the highest standard. I specifically visited different campsites. The difference is significant.
In total, there are about 100 tents for various overnight options.
Advantages of the campsite:
- everything is tastefully done and aesthetic;
- clean and spacious inside;
- gravel instead of soil;
- no ants;
- stylishly dressed staff;
- pull-up bar and parallel bars for fitness lovers (a rarity at campsites).
I walked around everywhere — I really liked it.
Price per night with breakfast from 1,400 ALL (14 euros).
Entrance coordinates: 40.118114, 19.702683
