Kalit Beach, Albania — A Quiet Seaside Hideaway Near Dhermi
Kalit Beach is a group of secluded beaches located on the uninhabited Ionian coastline of Albania near Dhermi.
All beaches are passable — not dead ends. By climbing over low rocks, you can walk from one beach to another.
Kalit Beach: A Detailed Overview
The Kalit beaches are located between two points.
On one side, among the rocks behind the Morsi restaurant near Leos Residence; on the other — close to Dhermi Beach.
The sea at these beaches is exceptionally clear, and the panoramic mountain views are stunning.
Kalit Beach is conventionally divided into four groups of beaches, arranged in sequence along the shoreline:
- a beach on an empty lot near the Dhermi road;
- the double Gjeri Beach;
- the double Kalit Beach;
- two beaches near the Italian restaurant Morsi i Drymades (hereafter — Morsi).
You can walk along the entire line of beaches by climbing over the rocks.
The rocks are low: between 1 and 4 meters high. You can easily climb over them if you wish.
In total, there are four beaches, each consisting of two small beaches.

Beach on the Lot near the Dhermi Road
On an empty lot in front of an unfinished building near the road from Dhermi, there is a deserted beach.
The main sandy beach is about 50 meters long.
You can walk barefoot along the beach. The sand is soft and not prickly.
Summary: an unremarkable place, but the sea water is exceptionally clean.

Gjeri Beach
The next beach along the coast is Gjeri Beach.
It is separated from the previous lot beach by low rocks.
Its length is approximately 100 meters.
You can reach it via a forest path past a concrete machine gun bunker.
Alternatively, you can climb over the low rocks.
The shore is not equipped with loungers or bars. The place itself is deserted, quiet, and sparsely visited.
Gjeri is a double beach — essentially two small beaches divided by low rocks.
Summary: a good spot for daytime relaxation or for spending the night in a tent.

Main Kalit Beach
The main Kalit Beach consists of two beaches connected by a narrow passage along the shoreline.
Each beach is about 100 meters long. One of them is equipped with loungers, the other is not.
Important: you can walk from one beach to another along a narrow strip by the sea.
On the rocks there is a square-shaped abandoned machine gun bunker.
On the more deserted second beach, some people set up tents and stay overnight by the sea.

Morsi i Drymades Restaurant
Morsi is a bar and Italian restaurant.
It is located on the rocky Ionian coastline, next to the Leos complex.
It’s a popular place — most visitors are affluent guests from Leos Residence.

Main Beach
A neat path leads from the restaurant to the beach. It runs above the shoreline and is paved with stone tiles.
Morsi Beach is about 100 meters long.
Beach panorama: behind the beach are forest strips and mountains. The spot is secluded, framed on both sides by rocky formations.
You can access the beach either through the restaurant or by climbing over the ridge of rocks from the neighboring Kalit Beach.

Small Beach
A narrow trail leads from the Morsi restaurant to a small beach.
On both sides of the beach are low volcanic rock formations.
The beach is about 20 meters wide. The entry into the sea here has a steep incline.

Swimming Between the Rocks
In front of the Morsi restaurant, you can swim between the rocks that extend into the sea.
You can descend into the water to take a swim.
Important: a stone path leads to the restaurant from the direction of the Drymades and Leos beaches.
The café offers a beautiful view of the rocky coastline and the Ionian Sea.
